slightly more stable
Mar. 24th, 2013 12:39 am- I accidentally a Captain Awkward meet-up in London this morning. Fun & knitting were had.
- The snow does make things pretty, even if it's cold and damp and orrible to get around in.
- The shawl progresses: nearly finished 3 (of 6) repeats for the main body. Unfortunately this does not mean I'm halfway there - it just keeps getting longer...
- In various bits of travel today, I spotted lots and lots of birds of prey: one sat in a tree, two swooping low over rooftops.
- Knowing my boundaries and expressing them clearly is wonderful.
- So is detailed, respectful discussion of desires, wants, access needs, etc.
- Cat! Cat cat cat. Cat deigned to let me stroke it. Cat is unimpressed by my purring.
- Curling up in pile with people and showing them Korra for their first time is _great_ and I should do it more often. (Anticipating which bits they'll find funny, and spotting new bits for myself, is great fun.)
- Fannish conversation is lovely, lovely, lovely: deconstructing (bits we loved and hated), reconstructing (and recommending other people who've done it, too, and committed it to writing), flailing gleefully.
- Self-care. Today I have managed physio and meditation, and I am generally more stable and cheerful and less hauntingly, huntedly unhappy. This is... nice. Nice is a good word for it.
