I think I love LA with a complicated and arguable kind of love, and it's always neat to hear how other people experience it.

Right now, I'm in the foothills north of it, and we had rain about a week ago. The hills are starting to get just-barely-green under all the brown, and we're supposed to have rain day after tomorrow so hopefully things will get a bit more of a grasp on life.
