I can sympathize with that.

In my case, I present myself very differently online from offline (both in fairly surface-level interactions; people who know me well see much more of both sides no matter which side of a screen they're on in relation to me)... and I always end up surprised by what either thinks if they encounter me in the other context. Because to me, I'm just me.
