- ... turns out I absolutely am having auras with these migraines as well, it's just that I've... presumably? been lying down in the dark with my eyes closed by the time they kicked in on previous occasions? or something? in that today I was on my way home from the plot and all of my peripheral vision went dizzyingly Odd whenever I got above a fairly low speed (it's okay, I took the scooter, I was not on the bike) and. um. yeah apparently that's still plausibly brainstem aura, great. Dubious silver lining: at least I don't have to try triggering one of my heat-related migraines to establish whether I still get aura and therefore shouldn't try fixing things with oestrogen!
- ... I just about managed to lever myself out of bed, following frovatriptan #2, to help with food, Grimly Following The Pre-Ordained Meal Plan. we got most of the way through smitten kitchen's mushroom-parmesan dutch baby before I. remembered. that apparently one of my migraine symptoms is that mushrooms are Not Food. so I need to add that to the MAIN ATTACK portion of the What To Do If Migraine pages.
- A heroically went "okay. we're not doing this dinner plan. it can go in the fridge. we can have it tomorrow. [I interject that I'm kind of also expecting to have a migraine tomorrow] Or Saturday! Or Sunday. I WILL ALSO ENJOY IT ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY. Now. Noodles?" and then followed this recipe (minus beef + mushrooms, plus courgette) almost entirely without useful input from me, beyond dealing with the Spinach and the Egg Treet For Adams, both of which were Scare.
- I am super fucking over the part where I've gone from "one migraine per Hormonal Event" to "two to three (days) of migraine per Hormonal Event" in the course of. six months. particularly given that I arranged my viva dates on the basis of one day of migraine + one day of recovery = On The Third Day I Can Safely Be Examined, and that... is rapidly looking less plausible. SO.
