- okay, the puff pastry did not come out Ideally but the food was Eminently Edible and I think I know what I need to do differently on my Next Attempt (specifically, I think in my Anxiety I used too little water, because that is the direction I tend to fail in)
- we went on a WALK in the MUD and the LOWERING DARK and it was pretty great even if we didn't get eaten by any rare eels (or suspicious eels that were actually fae in disguise)
- I'm getting back to the point, in terms of "things my muscles and joints will tolerate", where the most pressing limiting factor on my aerobic exercise is once again Whatever The Fuck My Lungs Think They're Doing That's Officially Not Asthma. Possibly I should be seeking a referral back to the UCH lungs people
- what The Heck are these new Pokémon, my friends
- it transpires that playing Portal on the laptop works much better when I've not selected the setting that disables the touchpad while typing, whoops (though given I want to toggle it back off when Not gaming maybe I just want to stick to games on The Desktop at least when the spare room isn't in use)
Hope you have all had good days <3

Date: 2019-12-26 03:20 am (UTC)(I don't... actually have that thing. or, I mean, I do, but it's gotten better?? the thing is actually as far as I have ever been able to figure -- for me specifically it's actually not CONSTRICTION in the strictest sense, in my case. it's EXPANSION/SWELLING (due to irritation of some kind, say exercise or serious allergies) of the fucking SCAR TISSUE in my lungs from various fuckery like the pneumonia and the valley fever. my lungs are mostly better these days and I don't often have episodes, but sometimes I relapse and it is hell. my theory best I can figure is the scar tissue is getting broken down slowly but sometimes shit irritates it to hell and gone and oh look relapse.)

Date: 2019-12-26 11:09 am (UTC)The thing I found Most Interesting about this link is that, for me, it just... doesn't respond to steroids. It just doesn't. But that link suggests two! other classes of drug! that might form a treatment plan! which means there might be something I can do about it that was just... not picked up on, at all, at any point over the past ten+ years when I've been complaining about this.
& the competent pulmonary people told me to get referred back to them if anything changed/got worse/I had more questions! So that's a Job for Doing.

Date: 2019-12-26 12:23 am (UTC)Biggest issue was that I fundamentally only have one oven, which is suboptimal for this many roast things...

Date: 2019-12-26 12:25 am (UTC)As much as I hated having to replace our oven last year, having a double oven is magic.

Date: 2019-12-26 12:40 pm (UTC)We wouldn't have gotten one either if the old oven hadn't crapped out.

Date: 2019-12-26 11:11 am (UTC)(I did have everything on the table and partway through being served at 2pm, when I'd said Big Food between about 1.30 and 2, despite not having worked backwards & having just started cooking when I got up after An Lie-In, so I'm pretty smug about that.)
